இதயம் என்னும் கோயிலில் கடவுளாய்
நான் உன்னைக் கண்டேன்
உன்னை முதன் முறையாக பார்த்த பொழுது!
இரு விழிகள் என்னும் வேற்படையில்
வில்லுக்குப் புறுவத்தையும் – அம்பொன்றுக்கு
கண்களையும் நான் கண்டேன்
உன் முதன் முறையாக இரசித்த பொழுது!
இரு கண்களென இரு பொருளை கடவுள்
எனக்குப் பரிசாகத் தர – அதில் விழித்திரை என
உன் முகத்தை நான் கண்டேன்
உன் இமைகளுக்குள் மெல்ல நான் மூடப்பட்ட பொழுது!
இரு விழிஒரு நொடிப் பார்வையில்
என் இதயத்தை நீ பரித்துக் கொண்டதை
நான் கண்டேன் – உன்னை
என் காதலியாக என் மனதில் சுமந்த பொழுது!
