புன்னகையை வரவழைத்துக் கொண்டு,
”அதெல்லம் ஹய்ரா நடக்கும்… நீங்க தலய பிச்சிகொல தேவில்ல…”
பர்ஹாவின் வார்த்தைகளில் இருந்த அர்த்தத்தை உணர்ந்தவர் போல,
”மாப்புள ஒன்னோட பேசோணுமன்ட. கிட்டத்துல வாராம்…” அவர் அமைதியாக சொல்லிவிட்டு நகர்ந்தார்.
சித்தியும்மாவும்,
”ஓ புள்ள… என்தியோ பேசோணுமாம் …. நல்லபடி நடக்கட்டும்…”
”சரியும்மா…. ஒகட விருப்பம்…” அவளது யோசனை எங்கோ சூனியத்தை நோக்கியதாக அவளுக்குத் தோன்றியது.
”தாத்தா…. இப்பவே மச்சன நெனச்சியா?”
பரீனாவின் சீண்டலில் சிக்கியவள்,
”போடி…. ஒன்னோட பேசிவேலில்ல…”
”ஓ… இப்ப அப்டி தான் இனி… அவரு வரப்போறே… எங்களயெல்லம் கனக்குமில்ல …”
பொய்க்கோபம் கொண்டு சென்றவளை புன்னகையுடன் நோக்கினாள்.

சிப்னாவுக்கு எல்லாமே இருள்மயமாகக் காட்சியளித்தது. தன்னையே நொந்தபடி அமர்ந்திருந்தாள்.
‘யா அல்லா… எனக்கு நீ இப்டி சோதனய தந்துட்டே… அது என்னோடயே போகட்டும்… பர்ஹாக்கு இப்ப தான் விஷயமே சரிவந்தீச்சி… அவள் சந்தோசமா ஈச்சோணும்…’
கண்களிலிருந்து கண்ணீர் அரும்பியது. அவளருகே ஏதோ மாற்றத்தை உணர்ந்தவள் நிமிர்ந்து நோக்கினாள்.
”உம்மா…. வாங்கோ ”
”சிப்னா….நீ அழுகியா? பிளீஸ்.. இனி அடுத்தூட்டுக்கு போகாத…. அன்டேகி சிபாய தாத்தா செல்லிய ஒனக்கு பஸீனும்மா ஏசினாமே…. எந்துகன் அங்கேகெல்லம் போற?”
”உம்மா… நான் பர்ஹாவ பாக்க போன… அவளுக்கு கலியாணம் சரி வந்து….”
முகத்தில் புன்னகை மின்ன ஷரீபதாத்தா,
”மாஷா அல்லாஹ்… அப்டியா, எங்கேன் புள்ள மாப்ளூடு?”
”அது தான் தெரிய.. கேக்கோணும்…”
”ம்ஹ்ம்…. அந்த புள்ளேட வாழ்க்க நல்லா ஈச்சோணும்.. தங்கமான புள்ள…”
”ஓ உம்மா… நானும் துஆ கேட்ட….” திடீரென கதவு தட்டப்படும் ஓசை கேட்டது.
”நில்லு நான் பாக்கியன்…” ஷரீபதாத்தா சென்றார்.
