மாயமாகிப் போன சாவியை தேடி தோழிகள் இருவரும் பல யோசனைகளுடன் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தனர். சாவியை கமலா கையில் எடுத்தது அவள் ஞாபகத்தில் அடிக்கடி வந்து சென்றது.ஆனால் எடுத்த சாவி இப்போது எங்கே தொலைந்தது என்பதை தான் அவளால் ஊகிக்க முடியாமல் இருந்தது. சரி வார்டன் மிஸ்ஸிடமே கேட்டு பார்ப்போமே என்று நினைத்துக் கொண்டாள்.

வார்டன் மிஸ்ஸின் அலுவலகத்தை அடைந்த தோழிகள் அவரது அலுவலக வாசலில் நின்று,

“எக்ஸ்யூஸ் மீ மிஸ்….” என்றதும் அவர்களை நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்த மிஸ் கண்களை மூடித் திறந்து தலையசைத்தவாறே உள்ளே வரும்படி சைகை செய்தார். தோழிகள் இருவரும் உள்நுழைந்ததும் அருகில் இருந்த கதிரையை காட்டி,

“உக்காருங்க….” என்று மிஸ் கூறவே

“இல்ல பரவல்ல மிஸ்….” என்று தோழிகள் இருவரும் ஒருமித்து குரல் கொடுத்தனர்.

அவர்களை பார்த்து சிரித்து விட்டு சரி என்ன விஷயம் சொல்லுங்க…?

மிஸ் ரூம் கீ மிஸ் ஆகிட்டு.. அதான்..

எப்பிடி மிஸ் ஆவிச்சி??

கைல எடுத்துட்டு தான் போனோம் மிஸ்…பட் எப்படி னு தெரியா காணாம பெய்த்துட்டு..

ம்ம் ரூம் நம்பர் அ சொல்லுங்க…

418 ரூம் மிஸ்…

418 ஆ?? என்று மிஸ் ஆச்சரியமாக அவர்களை பார்த்து கேட்டு விட்டு,

அந்த ரூமுக்கு கீ இல்லயே…யாரு ஒங்களுக்கு கீ தந்த?

இல்ல மிஸ் கீ இருந்திச்சி.. நாங்களே தான் எடுத்துட்டு போனோம்.

நோ வே‌… அந்த ரூமுக்கு மாஸ்டர் கீ மட்டும் தான் இரிக்கி. அதனால தான் அந்த ரூம யாரும் எடுக்குறல்ல. நீங்க எப்பிடி கீ கொண்டு போவீங்க? என்று புருவத்தை சுருக்கி மிஸ் கேட்க தோழிகள் இருவரும் திக்குமுக்காடி நின்றனர்.

கீ கோர்வைல இருந்து தான் எடுத்தோம் மிஸ். நீங்க நம்பர மாத்தி எடுத்து இரிப்பீங்க. பாருங்க மாஸ்டர் ரூம் கீ கப்பர்ட் ல தான் இரிக்கி. என்று அலுமாரியை திறந்து காட்டினார் மிஸ்.

குழப்பத்துடன் தோழிகள் இருவரும் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் பார்த்து விட்டு,

ஓஹ். அப்பிடியும் இரிக்கலாம் மிஸ். அப்போ மாஸ்டர் கீய தருவீங்களா மிஸ்?

இல்லமா அது ஒங்கட கைல தர ஏலா. அது ஸ்டுடன்ட் கீ இல்லயே. அது எனக்கிட்ட தான் இரிக்கும். சரி மிஸ் அப்ப ரூம ஓபன் பண்ணி தாரிங்களா?

ஓகேமா. பட் கீ இல்லாத அந்த ரூமே தான் வேணுமா. டவுன் ப்ளொர்ல ரூம் பாருங்களேன்.

இல்ல எங்களுக்கு அந்த ரூம் ஓகே மிஸ். எங்கட ப்ரண்ட்ஸ் உம் பக்கத்து ரூம்ல தான் இரிக்கிறாங்க. கீ இல்லாட்டி பரவல்ல மிஸ். அந்த ரூமயே எடுக்குறோம்.

ம்ஹூம். சரி வாங்க ரூம ஓபன் பண்ணி தாரேன். என்று கூறிக்கொண்டே 418 ரூமின் சாவியை (Master Key) எடுத்து கொண்டு மிஸ் மெல்ல நடக்கலானார். ஏதோ யோசனையுடன் இரு தோழிகளும் மிஸ்ஸை பின்தொடர்ந்து நடை போட்டனர்.
