ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee opened at 299.35/55 to the US dollar in the spot forex market on Friday, stronger from 299.70/80 on Thursday, dealers said, while bond yields were steady.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted stable at 11.35/45 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.09.2027 was quoted at 11.90/12.00 percent from 11.95/12.00 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2028 was quoted stable at 12.15/25 percent.

The Colombo Stock Exchange opened up: The All Share Price Index was up 0.06 percent at 11,705, and the S&P SL20 was up 0.06 percent at 3,439. (Colombo/Apr5/2024)
