இலங்கையில் 21.04.2019 அன்றைய குண்டுவெடிப்புடன் தொடர்பிருக்கலாம் என்ற சந்தேகத்தில் தேசிய தௌஹீத் ஜமாத், ஜமாத்தே மில்லதி இப்ராஹிம், வில்யாத் அஸ் செய்லானி போன்ற அமைப்புகள் ஜனாதிபதி மைத்திரிபால சிறிசேன அவர்களினால் அதி விஷேட வர்த்தமானி மூலம் தடை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது வரவேற்கத்தக்கது.
அவ்வாறே இத்தாக்குதல் இடம்பெற்று மூன்று வாரங்களின் பின் கடந்த 12.05.2019, 13.05.2019 ஆகிய தினங்களில் சிங்கள தீவிரவாதிகளால் 48 மணிநேரத்தில் 30 முஸ்லிம் கிராமங்கள் மீது தாக்குதல் நடத்தினர். இதனால் 8 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பள்ளிவாசல்களுக்கு சேதம் ஏற்பட்டதுடன், 3 உயிர்களும் பலியாகியுள்ளன. இத்தாக்குதல்கள் ஊரடங்கு நேரத்தில் சில இடங்களில் பாதுகாப்புத்தரப்பின் உதவியுடனும் நடாத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
