Reconciliation Through Youths

There are four major religions in Sri Lanka. We should learn about ethnic reconciliation in every religion. We are racially, nationally and also distinctly different. But all of us are should live with brotherhood without ethnic discrimination. And knowing everyone else’s language is a way to reduce this ethnic problem.

The source of violence is suspicious minds. This suspicion provokes hostility and violence. And to avoid this everyone should understand each other. None of the religions encourage violence. Religious leaders are responsible to teach children about ethnic harmony. We should not be harmed and we should not harm others. Human beings highlight humanity. We have to keep our heart in a state of mind. We should respect other religions and religious leaders. From the beginning we should learn to respect other religions. Otherwise they will not be able to do it after they grow up. Community formed by everyone. Schools and moral schools can prevent violence when it is properly taught.

Violence is everywhere. It cannot be completely eliminated. But we can handle them. The methods of dealing with violence is mentioned in all four religions. So all the people should learn about these things mentioned in other religions as well. If we want to live with happiness and peace of mind, we need to understand others. The main reason for violence is that everybody think their opinion is right. Youths can settle the issues very easily and a young man has been able to find a way to deal with violence with non-violence. Selfishness should be eliminated from the society. We need to guide young people and create ones who love their religion. Through this we can prevent youth from getting addicted towards racist feelings.

First of all we have to see what all religions say. Each of God’s creation is different and we get what we need. Similarly each religion has different names but they all say the same message. We need to walk away from alcohol consumption, stealing, and cheating others. And also promoting violence to youth is unhealthy. We must sow good will among youths. Religious leaders should teach people to respect other religions. We must teach our children what every religion says. By becoming a humanitarian human we can avoid violence in the world.
